Spreads, desserts, vegetarian meals and pasta sauce also in short supply – but not hot dogs!

As always, big thanks to everyone who generously donated food, toiletries and household essentials to the Food Hub in February.

We, and the local Food Stops and other partners, continue to be grateful for every single can, jar, packet, carton and pound that our loyal supporters provide on such a regular basis.

In March our list of Top 10 priority items is headed by tinned meat – corned beef, chicken, ham – and tinned meat meals, although not hot dogs thank you!

Jars of coffee and tins of drinking chocolate needing only hot water are also needed, along with savoury spreads: fish & meat paste and peanut butter.

Desserts – sponge puddings, jellies and Angel Delight – and tins of rice pudding are listed too, together with vegetarian meals and jars of pasta sauce. The one non-food item specially requested is again bottles or bars of unisex shampoo.

We are open to receive donations at Purley United Reformed Church (next to Purley Hospital) each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9.00am – 12.00noon. Or you can take donations to any of our local in-store and roadside collection points listed here.

Since the Food Hub started 12 years ago your donations have enabled us to provide food for over 380,000 meals for 42,500 people.

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR UNSTINTING GENEROSITY.
