Tinned vegetables, packet soup and tinned meat meals most needed in October.

Our stock levels continue to be low at this time but we are warmly encouraged by the early pledges of Harvest festival collections we have received from local schools and churches.

Big thanks too to all of our regular supporters who donate so generously. Each donated tin, packet and pound truly makes a difference to local people in food emergency.

In October our Top 10 priority list of most-needed items is headed by tinned peas, carrots and sweetcorn, packet soup containing several sachets, and tinned meat meals such as stew, meatballs and hot dogs.

500g packets of long grain rice are also listed, along with small jars of honey, tinned dessert fruit and rice pudding, and packets of custard requiring only hot water. We are also in need of small bottles of squash, and the single non-food item especially wanted this month is adult toothpaste.

Donations can be brought to us at Purley United Reformed Church, next to Purley Hospital, between 9.00am – 12.00midday any Monday, Wednesday or Saturday morning.

Or if you prefer not to come into busy Purley town centre, you can take them instead to one of our local in-store and roadside collection points listed here.

We thank everyone for all your kind and generous support. Since 2013 you have helped us to provide food for over 400,000 meals for nearly 45,000 people. They join us in sending you their huge gratitude.
