AGM will hear that our long-term aim remains the same – to end the need for food banks.

The Food Hub’s 2025 Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.00pm on Thursday 2nd October at Christ Church, Brighton Road, Purley CR8 2BN.

Three women who share a commitment to combating food poverty will be guest speakers, while Chair Trevor Jones will report on the Food Hub’s activities in 2024/2025 and present the Annual Report.

This details the work of our partners, volunteers, donors and supporters. It also repeats our call for a long-term solution to the need for food banks, and firmly supports efforts by anti-poverty campaigners including Trussell, the Rowntree Foundation and IFAN, the Independent Food Aid Network.

The three guest speakers are Leo Cardow, Manager of the Purley Cross Centre which refers many of our clients, Charlotte White, Member Support and Policy Officer with IFAN, and Elizabeth Maytom MBE, Project Manager (Operations and Partnerships) at Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank.

Management Committee Chair Louise Willmer will also report on the volunteer team’s activities, and Treasurer Joanna Walker will report on the Food Hub’s finances.

All Food Hub volunteers, friends and supporters are warmly invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served from 6.30pm and there is ample parking on site.
