Help to put dinner on the table and provide children’s gifts for struggling local families.

The Food Hub, together with local churches, will again be running the ‘Come Dine With Jesus’ and ‘Toys For Joy’ projects this Christmas.

For Come Dine With Jesus we will give an Aldi gift card to buy the ingredients for a Christmas meal, and for Toys For Joy we will buy a toy and chocolate for each child.

For each scheme, our ticket partners will nominate people in crisis living in the CR8 (Purley and Kenley), CR5 (Coulsdon), CR2 (South Croydon and Sanderstead) and CR0 4 (Waddon) postcode areas.

The value of the Aldi gift cards is £75 for a family and £50 for a single person (last year we provided 234 cards), and the cost of a toy and chocolate for each child is £15.

If you wish to make a donation towards either project, please click on this link to go to our Stewardship fundraising page or scan the QR code.

Wishlist is a gift for donors

Our friends at Purley Food Stop in Old Lodge Lane are also running a Christmas appeal to provide more than 300 gifts for local children and adults.

Their ‘Make A Wish’ social media campaign invites donations from scores of gift ideas on a special Amazon Wishlist. Donors pay for a gift from the wishlist and Amazon delivers them to the Food Stop.

Details are on the accompanying flyer. Click here to view the list.
