Milk, honey, jam and meat & fish paste among October’s most needed items.
Our Top Ten priority items for Food Hub clients in October include long life whole milk for children, jars of honey & jam, and jars of peanut butter, meat paste & fish paste.
Tins of plain meat such as beef stew and minced beef are also on our list, along with jars of tomato pasta sauce and tins of tomatoes and dessert fruit. There’s a special request as well for chocolate treats for clients’ children.
This month’s most wanted non-food items are toilet rolls and washing up liquid.
During September we delivered a further 3,186 meals to 354 clients and family members – just 10 people fewer than in August when we had nine Wednesday and Saturday sessions compared to eight in September.
Thank you everyone who generously donates food to us – you have enabled us to provide food for 275,000 meals to 30,500 clients since 2013.
Kindly bring donations any Monday, Wednesday or Saturday morning between 9.00am and 12.00midday to our base at Purley United Reformed Church, next to Purley Hospital in Purley town centre. Alternatively you can drop them off at any of our local in-store and roadside collection points listed here.
