Trustees and Management Committee review changeover from deliveries to collection.
The Food Hub’s Trustees and Management Committee, along with the Elders of Purley United Reformed Church, are currently carrying out their review of the first three months of our changed way of working introduced in March.
This included clients coming to the church again to collect their food, and the packing and distribution of food parcels moving from the church sanctuary to rooms at the back of the building.
Regular tweaks have been made as we have gone along, for example introducing a front desk volunteer to welcome clients.
We now have a team of ten volunteers in action at our Wednesday morning sessions: four packers, one bag finisher, one front of house/welcomer, one data entry, two to receive donations and one team leader.
Chair of Trustees Trevor Jones and Management Committee Chair Louise Willmer have been seeking all volunteers’ views in recent weeks on two specific points:
What is going well? and What can be improved?
They also warmly welcome hearing from the Food Hub’s donors and supporters, and from the ticket partners who refer clients to us for emergency food parcels. If you wish to comment you can email Trevor or Louise direct, or use the online form on our Contact page here. The Contact page also has Trevor and Louise’s email addresses.
The review is due to conclude shortly and findings will be published in early July.
