After an extra-busy March we urgently need to replenish our stocks
Food was delivered for more than 4,800 meals in March to struggling clients and their families in homes across South Croydon, Purley, Coulsdon and Waddon.
It was our second busiest March to date, behind only March 2020 at the start of the first Covid lockdown.
As a result, to replenish our depleted shelves, it’s back to basics in April in our monthly appeal for the items we need most. These include, once again, long life whole milk, jars of peanut butter and packets of dried potato. Also listed are 500g packets of pasta, jars of pasta sauce, tins of fruit and hot chocolate requiring only water.
Non-food items particularly needed are toilet rolls, unisex shampoo and unisex deodorants. Click here to view this month’s full list.
Donations can be delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings between 9.00am – 12.00noon to our base at Purley United Reformed Church in Purley town centre (next to Purley Hospital). Or they can be dropped off at any of our local in-store and roadside collection points listed here.
We are so grateful for everyone’s continued generous support: local churches, schools, businesses, community organisations and many individuals and families. Thank you all!
