Client emails her thanks after purr-fect response to urgent catfood request.

We don’t include pet food in our monthly ‘Most Needed’ list, but we regularly receive donations for our clients’ dogs and cats, including a recent large donation from Pets at Home via the local branch of the RSPCA.

During February we were emailed by a client who had previously received food from us for her and her daughter. She wrote: “I am in a serious situation whereby I am in need of a supply of food for my cat.

“I’ve had an unexpected amount come out of my benefits and it’s taken the money left in there for my cat’s weekly food. I have enough shopping for myself and my daughter until we receive our next amount and the only money left in my account was to feed my cat.

“I have enough for him for tomorrow’s breakfast then it is gone. Please could you help. I am not asking for myself at all.”

Fortunately we were able to meet her request and afterwards we received a further email from her:

“My cat says ‘thank you for the donation of food’ and I can’t thank you enough for the supply to get us to the end of the month.

“An unexpected payment came out on the wrong date so this flung myself into a panic and I reached out. You were so warm and kind and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Bless you x”
