How you can help to boost supplies now that Autumn is here

Every Autumn since the Food Hub started in 2013 we have been delighted to receive a bumper crop of Harvest food collections from schools, churches, businesses and other organisations.

These are very welcome as we begin the busy run-in towards Christmas. Last year nearly 30 schools and churches donated their Harvest collections to us…and again this autumn we will gratefully welcome all such donations of tins, jars and packets of long life, non-perishable food (unfortunately we cannot accept fresh items).

Our September list of most-needed items is available here, and October’s listing will be posted around 28th September. Donations can be brought to Purley United Reformed Church, next to Purley Hospital, preferably on Monday mornings from 9.00am to 12.00noon or else on Wednesday or Saturday mornings 10.00am-12.00noon.

If you are head of a school/college or a teacher or student, please get in touch with Jean, our Administrator, by email to or phone 07546 635295. Thank you very much.
