Mark Dakin, Shade Odupelu, Terry Whittaker and Annabel Wright were appointed as Trustees at the Food Hub’s Annual General Meeting at Christ Church Purley on Thursday 8 October.

They replace two retiring Trustees, Derek Harris and Judith Johnson, and fill two other vacancies. They were welcomed ‘on board’ by Trevor Jones, Chair of Trustees, who thanked Derek and Judith for their service.

Trevor and Helen Harris, who is temporarily standing down as Chair of the Management Committee, both paid tribute to the work of the Food Hub’s volunteers, particularly over the past six months of the coronavirus pandemic, and thanked churches, schools and the local community for their generous donations of food and money.

Looking to the next six months, Trevor said the Food Hub would continue to operate as a food delivery service, delivering food parcels direct to the homes of clients and their families referred by ticket partner agencies.

Louise Willmer will be Acting Chair of the Management Committee and Joanna Walker succeeds Derek as Treasurer. The AGM was streamed live on our Facebook page by volunteer Rachael Nazarko and received 183 views during and since the meeting.
