Ham, chicken, potatoes, veg and desserts on the menu along with children’s treats.
Our food list for December is made up of items that are as near as we can provide for a traditional Christmas meal for our Food Hub clients and their families.
These are headed by tins of plain chicken and ham, packet and tinned potatoes and tinned peas and carrots.
For dessert, we are requesting tins of dessert fruit, puddings, jellies and packet custard, and also on our list are small bottles of squash and jars of strawberry and raspberry jam.
Additionally, to add a festive touch, we would welcome donations of small packets of Christmas biscuits and children’s chocolate/sweet treats. Completing our Top Ten priority items are washing powder tablets.

We are open to receive donations at Purley United Reformed Church (next to Purley Hospital) each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9.00am to 12.00noon (except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). If it is more convenient, you can take donations to any of our local in-store and roadside collection points listed here.
Your donations not only enable us to provide emergency help to our own clients and their families but also to support partner organisations like Purley Food Stop at Old Lodge Lane Baptist Church and St Francis Food Stop in Monks Hill, Selsdon, where many of our clients move on to for further food help if they need it.
Since 2013, as a result of your continued generous support, we have been able to provide food for over 370,000 meals for more than 40,000 people.
Thank you everyone for every tin, jar, packet and pound you give us – each one goes to someone facing hardship and in real need at this time.
