Donate to Purley Food Hub

We are always delighted to receive money donations. These are used to replenish dwindling stocks or provide food and financial support to our partner organisations.

Money donations also cover our overheads, though we have no wage bills as we depend entirely on volunteers.

There are four ways that you can give:

1. Donate direct from your bank account via telephone or online banking, with or without Gift Aid.*

2. Make a one-off or regular donation online via our Stewardship fundraising page, with or without Gift Aid.*

3. Make a payment by cheque or standing order from your bank account, with or without Gift Aid.*

4. Donate while shopping online, at no cost to yourself.

* Under the Gift Aid Scheme tax can be claimed back from HM Revenue & Customs – 25p for every £1 given – which means the Food Hub actually receives more than you give.

Make a one-off or regular donation

stewardship logoOur online donation payments system is handled by the Stewardship charity support organisation.

Please click here to visit Stewardship’s Purley Food Hub page. You have the option of adding Gift Aid to your donation and you can give anonymously if you wish.

You also have the option to set up your own fundraising appeal that links directly to Purley Food Hub. Go to our Stewardship page and click where it says “or start fundraising” below the Food Hub logo (see screenshot below/right).

Make a payment by cheque or standing order

To make a one-off donation by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Purley & Kenley Churches Together Food Hub’ and send to:

Joanna Walker
Treasurer, Purley Food Hub
c/o Purley Baptist Church
Banstead Road
Purley CR8 3EA

If you are a taxpayer and wish to add Gift Aid to your donation, please download the Gift Aid form below and enclose the completed form with your cheque.

To make a regular donation by standing order, please download and complete the Standing Order form below – you can add Gift Aid if applicable on the same form – and send to Joanna Walker, Treasurer, at the same address.

Donate while you shop online at no cost to yourself

This is a great way of fundraising, using a cashback model but with the saving coming to the Food Hub. The Food Hub uses easyfundraising.org.uk, the UK’s biggest charity shopping site.

You have to sign up first, then when you are shopping online, instead of going directly to a retailer's site, you log in to easyfundraising's Purley Food Hub page first. You then search for a retailer in the Search box at the top of the screen. If they're listed, click on the link to visit their site and carry on shopping. The Food Hub will receive a donation based on what you spend.
