Donate to Purley Food Hub

We are always delighted to receive cash donations. These are put to good use when supplies are low or we run out of items, or when we need to pay for overheads and essential services.

There are two ways that you can give:

1. Make a one-off or regular donation, with or without Gift Aid. Under the Gift Aid Scheme tax can be claimed back from HM Revenue & Customs – 25p for every £1 given – which means the Food Hub actually receives more than you give.

2. Donate while shopping online, at no cost to yourself.

Donate while you shop online at no cost to yourself

This is a great way of fundraising, using a cashback model but with the saving coming to the Food Hub.

The Food Hub uses easyfundraising.org.uk, the UK’s biggest charity shopping site. You have to sign up first, then when you are shopping online, instead of going directly to a retailer’s site, you log in to easyfundraising’s Purley Food Hub page first.

You then search for a retailer in the Search box at the top of the screen. If they’re listed, click on the link to visit their site and carry on shopping. The Food Hub will receive a donation based on what you spend.

Amazon Smile

If you shop on Amazon, you can support the Food Hub at the same time with no cost to yourself.

You first have to set up an account at smile.amazon.co.uk – please note this is not the same as amazon.co.uk. Only purchases made through smile.amazon.co.uk are eligible.

Once you are logged in, type “purley food hub” (without quote marks) in the search box and follow the prompts. You can then shop on the Amazon site as normal. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the Food Hub.
